Ordering day-old chicks from Agro Prime Ghana takes four facts and one WhatsApp message. This guide shows what to send, what we confirm, and what to have ready.

To order day-old chicks from Agro Prime Ghana, send us a WhatsApp message at +233 24 915 1503 with the breed, the quantity, the hatch date you want and your delivery town. We reply with availability for that hatch, a written quote for your order and the delivery terms. Once you agree them, you pay, and then you either collect the chicks from our Kasoa hatchery or receive them by transport we arrange. The whole process runs on WhatsApp, and if you want to see the stock first you can book a visit before you commit.

Most first-time buyers make the same two mistakes. They ask for a chick price without saying what they need, and they arrange the house after the chicks are already on their way. Both cost days, and sometimes birds. The steps below set out exactly what to send, what we confirm in return, and what you should have ready before the hatch date. Follow them and the first order is much less likely to go wrong.

Quick answer

Order day-old chicks by WhatsApp. Send your breed, quantity, hatch date and delivery town to +233 24 915 1503. We confirm availability and the hatch date, send a written quote, and agree delivery to your town. Then you pay, and you collect or receive your chicks. Chicks take about 21 days to hatch, so ask early. We do not publish a price or a minimum order on this page, because both are confirmed for each order.

The order from first message to chicks in your house

Every order follows the same path, whether you want fifty chicks or several hundred. The first message sets the hatch date and the quantity. The quote turns those into a price and a delivery arrangement. The payment and the collection or delivery close the order. Because the hatch is the slowest part, the earlier you start, the more choice you have over the date.

A broiler order also needs a sale date from the start, because a day-old chick is the first day of a grow-out that takes about six weeks. The chart shows the target live weight for a mixed-sex Cobb 500 at four ages, from Cobb's published performance objectives. Use it to plan when your birds will be ready to sell, and to check your flock against a benchmark as it grows.

StepWhat you doWhat we confirm
1. First messageSend breed, quantity, hatch date, delivery town and whether you will collect or need delivery. We reply and ask anything we need to answer properly.
2. AvailabilityWait for our reply on the hatch date you asked for.Whether the date and quantity are available, and the hatch date we can offer if not.
3. Written quoteRead the quote and ask about anything unclear.Price per chick, any minimum for your order, what is included, and the delivery cost and timing to your town.
4. PaymentAgree the payment method and terms in writing, then pay.The terms you agreed and the order they belong to.
5. Collection or deliveryCollect from Kasoa or receive the chicks by the transport arranged. The time and place, and the vaccination record you asked for.

What to send in your first message

The quality of your first message decides how fast we can answer. A short message with the four key details is enough to start. If you are unsure of any detail, say so, and we will help you decide. The four details are:

  • Breed. Name the breed, or say broiler or layer if you have not chosen one. Our breed guide compares the options by use.
  • Quantity. Give the number you want to end up with, not just the chicks you need to buy, and say whether you expect losses.
  • Hatch date. Give the date you want the chicks, and whether it is fixed or you can move it by a few days.
  • Delivery town. Name the town, and say whether you plan to collect from Kasoa.
Hello Agro Prime, I want [breed] day-old chicks, [number] birds, with a hatch date of [date], for delivery to [town]. Please confirm availability, your price per chick, any minimum for this order, and the delivery cost to [town].

Send your order message now

Copy the message above, fill in the details, and send it to WhatsApp (+233 24 915 1503). If you would rather see the stock first, book a visit to the Kasoa hatchery.

What we confirm, and what we do not promise

When you order, we confirm the things that are ours to confirm: the hatch date and quantity we can offer, the price and any minimum for your order, what the price includes, and the delivery cost and timing to your town. We put these in writing on WhatsApp so you have a record. We do not publish stock levels on this page, and we do not offer discounts or scarcity claims. If the hatch date can be met, we say so. If it cannot, we say so and offer the nearest date we can confirm.

We also do not promise results inside your house. Ask us for the batch's vaccination record and plan around it, but growth, mortality and feed conversion depend on your housing, feed, water and management from the first day. That is why the next section matters.

Get the house ready before the chicks arrive

Have your brooder, heat source, water and feeders in place before the chicks reach you, and run them for a day or two so you know the temperature holds. Order your starter feed in advance so it is on hand on day one. Ask us for the vaccination record and write down which vaccines are due next, so the flock's health schedule is planned before the first bird arrives. Our brooding guide covers the setup step by step.

Paying, collecting and receiving your chicks

Agree the payment terms with us before you pay, and keep the written quote with the payment record. Once the order is settled, arrange the collection time from our Kasoa hatchery, or confirm the delivery time for your town. If you are collecting, bring a suitable box or crate, and a clean vehicle if you are taking the chicks any distance. If you are receiving them by transport, check the birds as they arrive and tell us promptly if anything is wrong, so it can be dealt with under the terms you agreed.

Delivery across Ghana

Agro Prime supplies farmers across Ghana and arranges transport to customers outside Kasoa. Delivery is never a guess. The cost and timing depend on your town, the number of birds and the distance, so we confirm both for your order before you pay. Ask us about losses in transit and get the answer in writing before you order. Our day-old chick delivery guide explains what to check when the chicks arrive.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Asking for a price with no quantity or date. Any figure given without those details is not a real quote. Give the breed, quantity, hatch date and town first.
  • Ordering the house after the chicks. Brooding is the most important week of a broiler cycle. Build the brooder before you order.
  • Forgetting the feed programme. Starter, grower and finisher feed each have a job. Our broiler feeding guide sets out the stages.
  • Relying on verbal promises. Ask for the hatch date, price, minimum, vaccination record and losses policy in writing.

Bottom line

Ordering day-old chicks from Agro Prime Ghana is a short conversation that needs four facts: breed, quantity, hatch date and delivery town. Send them on WhatsApp, read the written quote carefully, pay once the terms are settled, and have the house ready before the chicks arrive. If you are building a larger enterprise later, our partner page explains how we work with investors and partners in poultry.

Frequently asked questions

How do I order day-old chicks from Agro Prime Ghana?
Message us on WhatsApp (+233 24 915 1503) with the breed, quantity, hatch date you want and your delivery town. We reply with availability, a written quote and the delivery terms. Once you agree them, pay and collect or receive your chicks.
How much do day-old chicks cost in Ghana?
We quote each order individually, because the price depends on breed, quantity, hatch date, season and delivery town. We do not publish a fixed price on this page. Message us for a written quote for your order.
Do I pay a deposit before the chicks are hatched?
Ask us for the payment terms in writing when you receive the quote, and confirm whether any part is due before the hatch. Pay only once the hatch date, price and delivery terms are settled.
Can I see the chicks before I order?
Yes. You can book a visit to the Kasoa hatchery to see the stock and ask questions in person before you commit to an order.
How long does it take to get an answer after I message you?
We reply on WhatsApp. The time to confirm depends on the hatch date you ask for and the size of the order, so message as early as you can, and include all four details in your first message to avoid back-and-forth.
Which should I order, broiler or layer chicks?
Broilers are raised for meat and reach market weight in about six weeks on Cobb's targets. Layers are raised for eggs and take much longer to lay. Choose by what you plan to sell, and read our breed guide before you decide.
Are the chicks vaccinated?
Ask us for the vaccination record for your batch, which lists the vaccines given, when, and which are due next. Build your flock's health schedule from that record before the chicks arrive.
What if the hatch date changes?
Ask us to confirm the hatch date in writing. If a date has to move, we tell you on WhatsApp before you pay, so you can decide whether to go ahead. Ask us for our policy on changes in writing before you order.
